Featuring a dazzling collection of glass sculptures, illuminated mirrors and decorative ornaments created by local artist Ric Raithby aka the Illumin Artist. The venue is adorned with a plethora of beautiful pieces – many made from upcycled and reclaimed glass which would otherwise have been destined for the scrap heap. With more than 30 original pieces ranging from 100mm kaleidoscopic cubes to a 1m high glass monolith. Ric, who has worked in the glass industry for more than 40 years, has spent the past decade creating these exciting sculptures from throwaway and unusable glass. With talks and demonstrations planned throughout the exhibition.
Entry is free event – the museum is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 4pm. For more information about the artist and exhibition visit www.theilluminartist.uk and Facebook on www.facebook.com/theilluminartist
