It’s back! The Six Streets Art Trail will showcase more than 50 artists’ work in the homes, gardens and community venues

It’s back! The Six Streets Art Trail will showcase more than 50 artists’ work in the homes, gardens and community venues around White Street, Bromley Street, Park Grove, Wheeldon Avenue, Statham Street and Parkfields Drive, north of Kedleston Road.
The bi-annual event is a fun packed, creative weekend for all to enjoy art, craft, yarnbombing, family friendly activities, pop-up cafes and live performances from music groups and choirs on June 22nd and 23rd.
The free to attend mini arts festival sees more than 50 artists teaming up with residents who open up their homes and gardens to host the artists’ exhibitions. Some of the bigger community venues also get involved exhibiting local and regional creatives will include painters, printers, textiles artists, glass artists, ceramicists, photographers and jewellers, providing a range of visual treats to keep the whole family entertained.
In addition to the vibrant array of art forms available to buy, the upcoming Six Streets Art Trail will also feature a whimsical touch courtesy of a group of local yarn enthusiasts. This dedicated collective, armed with needles and yarn, will transform the neighborhood’s trees into colourful masterpieces, adding a playful and unexpected twist to the event. As visitors stroll along the art trail, they’ll be enchanted by the sight of trees adorned with intricate knitted and crocheted designs, showcasing the community’s ingenuity and passion for bringing joy to public spaces through their craft.

A Trail guide with map, list of artists and full details about everything to see and do can be bought on the day for £4, all proceeds go back in to the pot for the next Festival.

Plan you visit on Sat 22nd and Sun 23rd, 10-5pm both days.
