A Buxton Fringe award-winner returns with a brand-new, deeply personal theatre/comedy show that’s already winning hearts and challenging assumptions. Daydream Extremer is a moving and sharply funny one-man performance exploring the twists, turns, and revelations of a life lived with undiagnosed ADHD, and what happens when that diagnosis finally comes, aged nearly sixty.
The show traces a rich and unpredictable life: from travelling the world as a performer to the highs and heartbreaks of missed opportunities, broken relationships, financial collapse, and rediscovery.
But this isn’t just a story of struggle. Daydream Extremer celebrates the often-misunderstood brilliance of ADHD minds, bursting with creativity, energy, risk, and imagination. The show is part autobiographical tale, part insight into the unique wiring of neurodivergent brains, and part call to action: to rethink the way we talk about ADHD, especially in adults.
Fresh from a successful, Arts Council Wales-funded development workshop at The Riverfront Theatre, Daydream Extremernow comes to Buxton Fringe for three performances only, as part of the acclaimed Underground at the Fringe programme.
