Artcore is delighted to invite you to the launch of ‘See Hear,’ a visual arts exhibition, on July 12th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Artcore Gallery, 8 Albert Street, Osnabruck Square, Derby DE1 2DS. The exhibition features multimedia artworks by Derbyshire-based artists Chris Wright and Ashley Morris.
Chris and Ashley recently participated in Artcore’s international residency in Osnabruck, Germany. Over 10 days, they immersed themselves in the art and culture of Osnabruck, Derby’s twin city. Their work explores the connections and shared references between Derby and Osnabruck, highlighting the bonds that unite these two cities.
Dr. Chris Wright is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and writer at the intersection of fine art and philosophy. Her work addresses the political, cultural, and societal aspects of borders and transitional spaces using sound, film, installation, and performative drawing to create multi-dimensional experiences with myriad interpretations.
Ashley Morris is a Midlands-based, neurodivergent writer, director, educator and collaborator of visual storytelling that blurs the lines between fiction and non-fiction. His work is influenced by class, poverty, social issues and family, bringing a unique and powerful perspective to the exhibition.
The exhibition is open and free for all to attend. Please RSVP using this Eventbrite link: https://bit.ly/buildingbridgeslaunch
We look forward to seeing you there!
