I was Derbyshire Poet Laureate (2007-9). I’m a writer in primary & secondary schools, libraries and community projects, and facilitate writing and mindfulness workshops and retreats, as well as meditation retreats and courses across the UK and online. Publications include: ‘Indoor Skydiving’, ‘Leap’, ‘The Purpose of Your Visit’ (Smith/Doorstop), ‘Some Girls’ Mothers (Route), ‘You Are Here: Travels of a Derbyshire Poet Laureate’. Previous commissions include poems for Holocaust Memorial Day, for National Year of Reading, and a poetry trail for Rosliston Forestry Centre, part of the National Forest. Recent publications: ‘Year’ – 366 poems written each day of 2020 (Smith/Doorstop 2022), and ‘The Subtle Art of Caring: A Guide to Sustaining Compassion’ (Windhorse 2023).
