Artist profile
My practice is about investigating the social, political, and economic spheres that influence our environment, behaviours and thoughts. It is the manifestation of these invisible forces that provides the subject for my images. The work I produce is not a declaration it tends to be subtle and gentle, it could well be described as a prompting of the viewer’s consciousness. Meaning and understanding are generated and owned by the viewer. My proposition is to reawaken existing thoughts and understandings, whether nascent or more fully formed. It is about triggering the thinking that gets pushed to one side by the necessities of life on a well trodden path.
