Creative Old Sods

Creative Old Sods

We are creative, We are old, We are sods. Cos.

What? Why? When? How?

We don’t know and probably don’t care COS this is a space for different writers who are old, creative and sods.

First time writing work in progress slowly with a complete disregard for syntax. Often re-visiting scribblings from times past and viewing the present with a juvenile arthritic eye. Experimental, autobiographical, polemical, political and climactic. Spiritual, sardonic, sacrilegious and silly.

The benefit of writing in our dotage is that we will soon forget what we have done.

Cos we can.

Creative Genre

Work Undertaken

  • Our initial works were based on creative non-fiction / poetry / nature and fairytale political satires. These interests will be continued and expanded with the addition of works linking poetry to art / photography & improvised music.
  • New contributors are welcome to submit their own project / works for consideration.
  • The portfolio below is the work of Catherine Williams (1964-2017). Nicknamed 'Glo' (from the character in the film 'Happy Feet') Catherine had a wonderful eye for colour as she felt-tipped A4 on the floor in her feigned naivety!
