Arts Derbyshire is supported by a team whose sole aim is to enrich the community through art and creativity. Although you may already have heard about and partaken in Arts Derbyshire projects, we would like to introduce you to the arts team behind Arts Derbyshire and learn about their work in their own words.
In this article, we get to know more about Stephen Munn, our Director who leads the team and the Arts Derbyshire brand.
Stephen Munn is a highly experienced art and culture sector leader, having been CEO and Artistic Director at Deda from 2006 – 2019, and also instigating Deda Producing Limited within his tenure. He was CEO and Artistic Director of Absolutely Cultured in Hull 2019 – 23, steering the City of Culture Legacy programme, and working most recently with Art Reach (Leicester). Stephen brings not only a huge breadth of experience, knowledge and understanding of the sector, but more importantly his passion for the arts and conviction in the vital role the arts play in people’s lives.
Stephen has been appointed to lead Arts Derbyshire into its next exciting phase. Stephen joins Arts Derbyshire at a crucial time in their journey of growth as Derbyshire’s key strategic arts organisation as they build partnerships, expand their support to members across the county, and continue to grow their very successful Arts in Health and Wellbeing programme.
