The Workshop

Create Something Your Loved Ones Will Treasure! 💕

Celebrate the season of love with a wonderfully creative workshop where you’ll design and make your very own fused glass pieces,  perfect as heartfelt Valentine gifts … or as something special to keep just for you!

Join us for a joyful session filled with colour, sparkle and imagination as Trisha guides you through the magic of fused glass. You can make two beautiful pieces such as decorative hangers, tealight holders or small free-standing curves. Think hearts, weddings, romance — or whatever love-themed idea inspires you!

You’ll get hands-on with frit, cabochons and all the gorgeous glass details that bring your designs to life. Feeling adventurous? You can even try cutting your own glass with Trisha’s expert support. It’s a fascinating medium, endlessly enjoyable and wonderfully addictive!

Your creations will be taken away, fired and ready in time for Valentine’s Day … the perfect handmade surprise.

If you catch the fused-glass bug (and most people do!), you’re welcome to make extra pieces on the day if time allows,  just bring a few pennies for additional glass.

Come, play, experiment, and fall in love with glassmaking this Valentine’s! 💘

What to bring?

Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience!

Specific to this workshop:

  • It is essential that you wear closed shoes please, i.e. no sandals or flip-flops – you will be working with small pieces of glass clled frit.
  • Glass will always be sharp and even if you are taking the utmost care sometimes you may get a small cut on your hand/fingers. If you have an allergy to normal plasters please will you bring your own.
  • Reading glasses if you need them.
  • It costs £9 to purchase additional glass.
  • NB: you will be provided with all you need regarding safety, including safety googles, which must be worn when cutting glass.

What skills are needed?

No experience is necessary. It requires a steady hand to glue small places of glass in place. Using the cutting tool is a bit like holding a pencil, with just a little more downwards pressure. It is much easier than you think!

What are the timings?

This is a relaxed afternoon running from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Our purple front door will be open from 1pm so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet Trisha and your fellow crafters and grab a cuppa before you start.

How many places are available?

To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the group size is limited to 10.

What is the cost?

£40 + 86p card fee … a reduced rate to embrace 2026! This includes all the materials needed to make your heart inspired glass, drinks and home-made biscuits during the afternoon (excluding lunch)
