What's on
Following the joy and success of our crochet flower workshop and subsequent attendee requests … your tutor, Melinda, is looking forward to meeting you / seeing you again and says: “Are you wanting to:
• enhance your existing crochet or knitting skills?
• re-fresh on some forgotten skills?
• spend a relaxing time crocheting and knitting with like-minded people?
• Make a lovely poppy to take home and wear with pride?
Then look no further – this workshop could be what you are looking for.
Common myths around knitting and crocheting:
• ‘I am left-handed so I can’t knit or crochet.’
Not a problem. I am left-handed and can demonstrate the techniques with either hand.
• ‘I can’t follow a pattern’
Don’t worry I will have a selection of small projects which I will talk you through explaining the stitches and terminology and the charts which some people prefer to follow.
• ‘I have tried learning on YouTube but find the terminology confusing’
The most confusing thing about learning crochet from YouTube is that most of the instructions there use US terminology which is different to UK crochet terminology. I will touch on these differences, as I take you through the patterns on the day, which will all be in UK terminology.”
Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience!
