What's on

Autumn Fabric Collage @ Our Crafty Place

Event details

The Workshop

Your tutor, Paola, is looking forward to meeting you and says: “Come and create a colourful fabric collage with me! Think “Make, do and mend”, with an artistic twist!

Let your imagination loose, spend three playful hours and socialise with great people from your local community. Instead of coloured pencils and paper, you will “draw” a unique artwork with fabric. You will learn how to create an Autumn themed collage or go abstract, geometric, or even monochrome, by using only back and white fabric.
This workshop is suitable for anyone. Children between 8 and 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian.”

What to bring?

Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience!

Specific to this workshop:

  • Reading glasses if you need them.

What skills are needed?

No previous experience is necessary – you don’t even need to know how to draw! You will be cutting gorgeous fabrics into the shape you want and sewing it and, or glueing it onto a fabric base. So you will be using scissors, a needle (different sizes, with different eye sizes will be available) and a hot glue gun. You may want to iron your material and so an iron and ironing board will also be available.

What are the timings?

This is a relaxed, fun, chatty afternoon running from 1pm to 4pm.

Our purple front door will be open from 12.30pm so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet Paola and your fellow crafters and grab a cuppa before you start.

How many places are available?

To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the group size is limited to 10.

What is the cost?

£42 + 89p card fee. This includes all the materials needed to make your beautiful collage, drinks and home-made biscuits during the afternoon.

We want you to go home with a spring in your step and feel really good about what you have achieved. To make sure we can thoroughly look after you during your workshop please fill in your booking form with all the things that will help, be it your favourite milk, or any extra support you may require. Please also let us know of allergies that we may need to highlight to your fellow crafters e.g. nuts, perfume. Many thanks.
