Technical Stage Manager Role Summary

The role of Technical Stage Manager exists to support the Learning & Engagement team technically, ensuring that all L&E projects, productions, and events are delivered successfully and efficiently. The postholder will contribute to a first-class service in all areas of work, particularly in the delivery and operation of technical theatre. The postholder will also work as part of the Technical team on in-house and visiting productions.

 

Status

Full time, permanent (average 37.5 hrs per week)

Start date

Monday 11 January 2027

Salary

Up to £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Development Manager Role Summary

As Development Manager, you’ll lead on day-to-day trusts and foundations fundraising, building a strong and well-qualified pipeline and developing compelling applications that secure restricted and unrestricted income. The postholder will research prospective funders, translate the organisation’s work and impact into persuasive cases for support, coordinate high-quality submissions, and manage grants through to reporting and renewal.

You will lead small and medium-sized applications and support the Head of Development on larger, strategic, or capital bids. This is a hands-on income-generation role requiring previous success in trusts and foundations fundraising, strong written communication, and disciplined pipeline management.

You will also play a vital part in supporting the Development team to increase restricted and unrestricted income through individual giving streams, including work to support a refreshed membership scheme in 2027.

 

Status

Full time, permanent (average 37.5 hrs per week)

Start date

Monday 1 February 2027

Salary

Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Exciting opportunity to join the Buxton Opera House Team!

 

Marketing and Communications Assistant Role Summary

Join our Marketing & Communications team and help bring an exciting programme of theatre, cinema, music, and live events to audiences across Buxton Opera House and Pavilion Arts Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in arts marketing, gaining hands on experience across campaign delivery, digital communications, social media, website management, audience development, and event promotion. Alongside supporting marketing campaigns for our visiting productions, you will take ownership of key Pavilion Arts Centre events including Coffee Concerts, Buxton Buzz Comedy Club, and Cinema Screenings, with opportunities to develop and take on wider campaign responsibility over time.

The role will work collaboratively with the wider Marketing & Communications team to ensure campaign activity supports sales targets, wider audience development objectives, and aligns with the organisation’s artistic vision and business goals. The postholder will work closely with the Ticketing & Sales, Programming, Development, and Learning & Engagement teams.

 

Status

Full time, permanent (average 37.5 hrs per week)

Salary

Up to £25,800 per annum (depending on experience)
