Ode to the Midlands is partnering with universities & creative organisations across the Midlands to deliver a series of free public workshops designed to build digital skills, confidence and sustainable creative careers. Thank you COLLECTIVE and Barbican Creative Hub for delivering sessions this month. We have three sessions to announce and bookings are now live for our partnership with Coventry University:
Making Things Move

A free hands-on robotics workshop for artists, makers and the curious. Learn how to bring movement to your artwork using motors, servos and microcontrollers. No coding experience needed.
In this practical workshop, you’ll explore how movement can create emotion, humour and intention in objects through subtle gestures like twitching, tilting, spinning or breathing.
Delivered through CVAN EM and CVAN WM as part of Ode to the Midlands. Generously supported by partners across the East and West Midlands including Barbican Creative Hub, COLLECTIVE, Coventry University, Hereford College of Art, Nottingham Trent University, University of Lincoln, University of Nottingham, and University of Wolverhampton.
