Whaley Bridge Artistic Community Set to Launch Festive Christmas Art Trail Following a Highly Successful Spring Event
The celebrated Whaley Bridge Open Studios group has announced a festive edition of their popular art trail. This curated event brings together a selection of the High Peak’s finest professional artists for a walkable weekend of creative discovery.
The artists and makers will transform three venues across the town into a winter exhibition on the 7th & 8th November 2026. Visitors can explore a rich variety of disciplines, including fine art, ceramics, bespoke jewellery, mixed media and textiles.
Visitors can start the trail at RWA Gallery on Market Street, hosted by acclaimed mixed media artist Rob Wilson. The trail continues to the Whaley Bridge Uniting Church Hall on Buxton Rd and the Whaley Bridge Co workers space on Old Road.
Organiser Beverley O’Donoghue says: “This November weekend is the perfect head-start for festive shopping. Visitors can meet the makers and buy unique, heritage-quality gifts in a relaxed atmosphere. It is a wonderful way to invest directly back into the local creative economy while enjoying the seasonal charm, picturesque landscapes, and brilliant independent pubs, cafés and shops in Whaley Bridge.”
