Join Buxton International Festival this weekend for an autumnal mini festival full of music and words, on Friday 15th October.
Buxton International Festival welcomes gothic novelist Rhiannon (Sarah) Ward, tech entrepreneur Azeem Azhar, politician Peter Hain, and Harewood Artists from English National Opera to Buxton.
Saturday’s varied programme features acclaimed pianist Martin Roscoe, BIF’s Chamber Ensemble: the Corran Quartet, broadcaster Paul Mason, memoirist Meriel Schindler and jazz sensations The XPQ (Xenopoulos, Price) Quartet.

Due to popular demand, Buxton International Festival are included a smooth jazz event in this year’s Big BIF Weekend line-up.
Nigel Price, winner of the British Jazz Award for best guitarist in 2016, and virtuoso saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos will be paying homage to some of the greatest historical guitar/saxophone collaborations such as Jim Hall/Sonny Rollins, Wes Montgomery/Johnny Griffin, and Stan Getz/Charlie Byrd as part of The XPQ Saturday 16th October, 7.30pm.
