Creative health Toolkits and Resources from the social biobehavioural research group

Are you designing and evaluating social or cultural interventions for people’s health and wellbeing? Over the years the Social Biobehavioural Group used the findings from research studies to develop numerous resources, available for free on their website. This includes:

A comprehensive mapping of what arts and health evaluation frameworks and toolkits exist, and advice for anyone wishing to evaluate their own project.
Our INNATE framework which explores the active ingredients of arts in health activities.
The Multi-level Leisure Mechanisms Framework which synthesises mechanisms of action by which leisure activities could affect health.
A global mapping tool and resources for tracking and analysing arts and health policy developments.

And of course, do visit their Research Papers Library – members of the Group have authored more than 200 papers and you can search by keyword or browse using filters such as health topic, life stage, social topic and programme area.

Entrants top 100 for July’s Buxton Fringe

Over 100 entrants have registered for this year’s Buxton Fringe so far with just a few weeks still to go before the final entry date for the printed programme. The discounted ‘early bird’ entry period up till the end of February was responsible for much of this activity with managed venue Underground announcing that they are back for 2025 with not one but two managed venues at Spring Gardens and in Fairfield. Many other venues in Buxton and beyond are also in use this year.
