Hello and welcome to our first newsletter for 2025. We’ve had a busy summer, getting ready for next year’s event. Pete Singer, who was our Chair for three years, has gone on to tackle new challenges. We were successful in recruiting a new Chair who was elected at a Special General Meeting in October.
Introducing… Leigh Woods
‘Derbyshire Open Arts showcasing some of the best Artists in our beautiful countryside’ that’s what I see when I think of this fantastic event. Let me introduce myself, my name is Leigh and I’ve now joined Derbyshire Open Arts as chair. I have lots of experience in the world of artisan shows with two successful businesses that have been built from scratch, but enough about me. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the fantastic team behind DOA and they are amazing, so I’m hoping to be a valuable member too. I’m really looking forward to getting to know some fabulous artists and makers taking part in next year’s event, I just know it’s going to be great.’
