Groups invited to celebrate Christmas in Georgian style in Buxton

Local groups, clubs, societies, and businesses are invited to make their Christmas celebration one to remember with a festive day out in the heart of Buxton.

This November and December, Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust is offering groups of 16 or more the chance to combine the history and heritage of the town’s iconic Crescent with a festive meal at The Palace Hotel.

The experience begins with a guided tour of The Buxton Crescent Experience, where visitors can discover the fascinating story of Buxton as a spa town and learn more about the people, places and events that have shaped its history.

After exploring the Crescent, groups can relax and enjoy a choice of two festive dining options at The Palace Hotel – a seasonal afternoon tea with a glass of sparkling wine, priced at £32 per person, or a three-course carvery festive lunch, priced at £35 per person including the Crescent Experience guided tour.

The offer is designed for a wide range of groups, from workplace Christmas celebrations and community organisations to clubs, societies and friendship groups looking for something a little different this year.

There are also some added benefits for group organisers. The person organising the visit will receive a free visit to The Buxton Crescent Experience and a free festive meal, while everyone in the group will receive 10% off purchases at the Pump Room, making it an opportunity to pick up some Christmas gifts and souvenirs while in Buxton.

The festive group packages are available throughout November and December 2026, with a minimum group size of 16 people.
