Arts Derbyshire takes up residence in the atmospheric surroundings of the historic Masson Mills in Cromford on 25th April, with an exciting evening of entertainment showcasing the very best of what Derbyshire has to offer. Arts Derbyshire is putting on a spectacular evening of entertainment – all for just £30 – with music, dance, spoken word, street food, bar, art sale and exhibition, plus a raffle. Masson Mills will also be offering guests a tour of the fascinating working textile museum prior to the evening’s exciting programme by pre-arrangement.
Alongside the mixed media exhibition there will be a packed evening of entertainment from musicians, spoken word artists and dancers.
The raindogs bring their eclectic mix of covers and originals, uplifting, melodious and melancholic in equal measure. Sublime vocals are supported by a heady mix of drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, all topped off sumptuous three part harmonies (and an occasional glockenspiel solo). From Neil Young to Nick Cave, from Tom Waits to The Doors, from Elbow to The Beatles.
Mark Gwynne Jones, winner of 4 festival fringe awards for Best Spoken Word, has published 5 collections of poetry and appeared in numerous anthologies.

Mairead Rutter O’Connor, a dance artist and choreographer, will be joined by Jacob Phillips, Hannah Davidson and Kaia Thowsen. The group will be taking the audience to another world where possibilities are shifted. Find out what mind-boggling fun Mairead has in store for us!

who has been building a career in hospitality, both as a chef de partie in a classical French restaurant and through growing his own business supplying delicious globally influenced food for one off events, parties and festivals.
The curated art exhibition shows work by selected artists from around the county which includes ceramics, glass, furniture, photography and print. Everything on show is for sale, with a pop-up shop of smaller items also available.
Guests will enjoy a glass of wine or a soft drink on arrival alongside the taste sensations delivered by local chef Ambes. Street food ‘small plates’ from around the globe are being served as part of the ticket price with larger plates of Eritrean food available for just £5 a plate. Town Hall Events will be on hand serving a selection of drinks at the pop-up bar.
Prizes have been generously donated by local businesses and organisations from around the county and guests will have a chance to win anything from a print by Bernie Rutter, to an evening at Buxton Opera House to an overnight stay at a delightful airbnb, plus many more exciting prizes!
As a charity, Arts Derbyshire is always looking for fundraising opportunities to help them continue their work supporting artists, makers and performers across the county to thrive. This fundraiser is a first for Arts Derbyshire, and the perfect way to showcase some of the amazing talent in the county at the same time.
