Join Derbyshire writer Leonie Martin for an online Writing for Wellbeing workshop in collaboration with Growing Choices Community Garden in Pilsley.

The workshop will include writing activities and an opportunity to share your work and listen to others within a safe and relaxing ‘virtual’ space. No previous experience of creative writing is required.

LEVEL are excited to announce their new interactive exhibition, Create My World: Nature by TECHSQUAD, running from 18 April until 27 June 2024! Create My World: Nature is an interactive exhibition experience for all ages, focused on nature, world-building and exploration. It’s an exciting world of wonder where you can explore your creativity and make your own digital creations come alive! Over the duration of the exhibition, a new virtual world will be created, populated with living creatures and plant life made from artworks generated by visitors.

Derby’s vibrant St George’s Day celebrations draw enthusiastic crowds

The legend of St George was brought to life on the streets of Derby at the weekend. Hundreds of people enjoyed the free St George’s Day celebrations held in the city centre. The event on Saturday 20 April featured a feast of entertainment at the Waterfall in Derby Market Place, with performances and activities for all the family.

Ava Hunt Theatre Presents A SLIGHT ACHE

A Slight Ache follows an older couple, whose marriage is disrupted by an external force - a Matchseller. A team of seasoned Derbyshire artists bring this funny, disturbing, and powerful play to the stage, beautifully celebrating Pinter’s fascination with the interloper.

Artcore is offering a two-month local residency from May 10th to July 7th, with an opportunity to visit Osnabruck, Germany, for two weeks around late May to early June (dates TBC). This unique experience is open to two Derby-based artists interested in connecting with international artist communities and gaining insights from cross-cultural experiences.
