Job opportunity: Engagement Manager

Animate Projects is a Derby based agency working at the intersection of animation, film and the visual arts. We became an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, and this support is enabling us to bring new expertise to the team, with a new post that will develop and support our work in engaging communities and provide the necessary and consistent capacity for us to deliver our ambitious programme. Deadline: 3 July 2023. For more details and how to apply please go to https://animateprojects.org/job-opportunity-engagement-manager/

Our programme for 2023 includes: Place Setting, collaboration with British Ceramics Biennial, supporting artist Nina Thomas to make a work exploring experience of Deaf former workers in the ceramics industry in Stoke on Trent; and the development of WORK Records, exploring working lives through historic collections archives.

This is a varied role, with a focus on engagement and supporting our project communities, that will also involve working on related exhibitions, events and marketing. You will be part of a small team, working closely with Animate’s two directors, interns, freelancers, artists, and our partners, but you will also need to be self-sufficient and happy to take responsibility for managing your time and workload.
