COLLATERAL ECHOES – Exhibition
26 September 2026 – 10 January 2027
QUAD Gallery, Derby
Free
COLLATERAL ECHOES is an immersive exhibition by British Ghanaian artist and filmmaker Baff Akoto. Bringing together XR, moving image, immersive sound and performance, the exhibition honours Black and immigrant Britons who have died following police contact since 1969, and the families and communities who carry their memory.
Featuring spoken prose by Paapa Essiedu and poetry by Benjamin Zephaniah, this
deeply affecting work makes space for grief, connection and care, inviting us to
consider how remembrance can become an act of resistance.
