The aim will be to cover:

  1. Basic anatomical forms & alignments.

  2. Proportion – ways of measuring/checking.

  3. Ways of using line & mark to build form.

  4. Studying tone, light and shade to create form.

  5. Light & colour, shape & form (dry materials).

  6. Line & colour, shape & form (mixed media).

Each session will begin with rapid free drawings of short poses using a variety of media and methods. You will need to bring a range of drawing materials e.g. charcoal, pencils, conte, rubber (a putty rubber also), white chalk or pastel.
