What's on
This two-day course with potter Kyra Cane will develop throwing skills and teach all-important finishing techniques.
Kyra will demonstrate before guiding you through a range of processes used by professional ceramicists.
This course is ideal for potters who have some throwing experience, for example, if you have previously attended our one-day course ‘Introduction to Clay with Kyra Cane’.
In the first session, you will spend time on the wheel and Kyra will teach you advanced throwing techniques.
In the second session, taking place a week after the first, Kyra will help you to professionally turn your creations so that they are finished to a high standard.
There are just 4 places on each course, which will offer a high level of one-on-one teaching and a close-knit studio experience.
All materials will be provided. At the end of the course, you will have made a range of simple pieces, which will be fired and ready for collection within a couple of weeks of your chosen workshop date.
Please note, this pottery course takes part over 2 consecutive weeks, starting on your booked date and time. We recommend that you come to this course with your own aprons.
Course dates:
Saturday 15 July + Saturday 22 July
Sunday 27 August + Sunday 3 September
Saturday 16 September + Saturday 23 September
Saturday 21 October + Saturday 28 October
Choose from a morning (10am – 1pm) or afternoon (2pm – 5pm) course.
