Fashion Illustration and Design Workshop – mixed media and wire
Join Liz Wellby at her beautiful studio on the edge of the Peak District for a creative day on this exciting fashion illustration and design workshop, with a mixed media approach.
If your childhood desire to be a fashion illustrator or designer was firmly suppressed, now’s the time to let it out of the box and join me for a fun and creative day exploring mark making, pattern, collage and wire; your inner teenager will be very happy.
We’ll start the day by developing numerous patterned papers, using a range of paints and inks on different types of paper, with a mixed media approach. You’ll then use your papers to dress your fashion dolls, creating unique and imaginative outfits and outcomes. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore soft iron wire, creating wire fashion inspired drawings of heads.
This fashion illustration and design workshop is perfect for beginners and more experienced artists alike, ready to explore their inner fashion designer, with a willingness to play and experiment.
Sunday 13th September, 10 – 4pm, with just 5 places, including: tuition, materials and use of equipment; just bring your lunch.
