Your tutor, Gael, is looking forward to welcoming you and guiding you step by step as you create your very own botanical plaster cast picture.

“During this workshop, you’ll craft a unique pottery frame and pour your plaster cast into it. You’ll then design and press leaves, grasses, and seed heads into the plaster to create a stunning natural relief picture.”

What You’ll Do

During this hands-on workshop, you will create your own botanical plaster cast picture.

You will:

• Craft your own clay frame

• Pour and prepare your plaster cast

• Explore the textures and shapes of natural foliage

• Design and press leaves, seed heads, and grasses into your artwork

• Take time to enjoy the process, creating a piece that’s truly unique

The beauty of this workshop is that every piece is personal and one-of-a-kind—no two artworks are ever the same.

No prior experience is needed. The focus is on enjoyment, creativity, and mindfulness rather than technical skill.

What to Bring

Please bring:

• Your own foliage (ferns, seed heads, or any interesting leaves)

• Reading glasses if needed

• Your lunch or money to purchase something nearby

Workshop Details

• Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm

• Arrival: From 9:30am for a warm welcome, meet Gael, and enjoy a cuppa

• Group size: Limited to 8 people for a relaxed, small-group experience

Cost

£62 + £1.20 card fee.

This includes all the materials needed to make your picture and refreshments during the day (excluding lunch).
