Art Break Through is a three-day in-person course to inspire artists in exploring and developing their personal creative voice and expression.
Over three days you will push the boundaries of your creativity and current work taking it to the next level. The basis of the course is to offer a three-day experience of art making pushing the boundaries of current practice. This will be an exploratory workshop encouraging delegates to expand their horizons beyond what is currently known and understood about their work. By exploring and experimenting with a range of different ideas and creative approaches you will take your work into new and exciting areas of practice all in the lovely and inspiring surroundings of the Derbyshire countryside.
Each day will include a range of techniques and explorations including approaches to drawing and mark-making, developing your own tools and processes, exploring the surface, and taking inspiration from the environment. There will be opportunities to work with different materials and engage with new processes in the making of work covering the following areas:
There will also be an optional group evening meal on Thursday evening and a visit to Chatsworth House and grounds plus lunch on Saturday morning. These elements are not included in the price for the course and will need to be booked and paid for separately.
This is a small group course of no more than 15 people. A variety of teaching methods will be used and there will be clearly structured exercises in small and large groups along with opportunities for discussions and journaling.
Full information and joining instructions will be sent out once you have booked your place. Here are the basics for now.
