What's on

Hindsite – Queer Theatre Production

Event details

What did it really mean to be transgender on planet Earth?
In the distant future, two historians unearth what remains of humanity – but will their findings meet their expectations…

Originally performed at Derby Theatre, and featuring an all trans cast, Hindsite pits semi-autobiographical narratives against a blizzard of political footballing and media misinformation about the trans and queer community.
Full of camp, sci-fi clichés and a generous dose of comedy; this show will leave you laughing, crying, impassioned, and maybe even questioning some things about the world we live in.

All profits from the show will be donated to Derbyshire LGBT+.

“It provided a perspective I hadn’t considered before, and put the topic of gender in a more historical context, which I think allowed me to access the discussion from a new standpoint. I feel more informed about the topic and enjoyed the show immensely”

“I wish we had more pieces like this”

“A very concise portrayal of the tragedy of misinformation”

“I loved it and would absolutely come back for more. Truly a wonderful dive into trans experience and giving voice to our community. Another round of applause to everyone involved. Truly an amazing piece on something quite hard to put into words in today’s political/social climate”
