Matlock G&S Society is 30 years old ths year!
Join us for our summer show – a romp through the career of one of England’s most famous musical duos, told in words and song.
Find out how grumpy dramatist William Gilbert and sunny socialite Arthur Sullivan delighted Victorian audiences with their funny and satirical operas, despite an off-stage relationship that was often stormy.
Excerpts from their ever-popular works will range from favourites like ‘Three Little Maids From School’ and sentimental stunners like ‘The Lost Chord’ to less well known music such as a chorus from ‘The Martyr of Antioch.’
