We will guide you through various exercises and explore the practical steps you can take to start to develop your poetry portfolio.

We’ll cover:

  • Where to look for poetry commission opportunities.

  • The do’s and don’ts of pitching for poetry work.

  • How to communicate with your client and make long-lasting relationships.

  • How to research your topic and meet the brief set by the client

  • Understanding the payment process.

Come prepared to write.

All of our workshops are fast-paced and jam-packed with writing tasks and ideas. Leaving you with lots of activities you can continue within your own time.

We design these sessions to be fun and casual, a chance to take some time out of your busy week and exercise your creative skills, develop your knowledge, and enjoy writing with like-minded people.
