It’s time to share!

This Spring we were Awarded a National Lottery Project Grant by Arts Council England to celebrate creativity in Melbourne, South Derbyshire and beyond. The Summer has been a whirlwind of events, free workshops and artists commissions throughout the Summer.

Melbourne has been home to many artists over the years and following the retrospective exhibitions at the 2025 Art & Architecture Trail and at Creative Melbourne Gallery in April of work by Ronald Pope (1920-1998), whose sculpture, paintings and sketches are in collections across the world, his work was used to inspire four commissioned pieces, SHARED LINES a sculpture by Stevie Davies was unveiled at the opening of the Secret Sculpture Garden on 30^th July, and the other pieces by Mark Langley, Natasha Opacic and Isabella Blue exhibited in The Billiard Room at Melbourne Hall during Melbourne Festival Art & Architecture Trail on Saturday 19^th & Sunday 20^th September.

In addition to the commissioned pieces, so far Creative Melbourne have hosted nearly 30 Artist led Creative Community Workshops throughout the year work have also been based on Humanity, Nature & Creativity some examples of this work are displayed in Melbourne Parish Church during Melbourne Festival.
