FORMAT23 Opportunity: Festival Volunteers

The FORMAT International Photography Festival, held in Derby every 2 years, is seeking volunteers to help realise the next festival.

We are looking to create a team of enthusiastic volunteers from all backgrounds to help organise & deliver different aspects of the festival.

FORMAT23 includes an ambitious programme of exhibitions, events, talks and portfolio reviews, working with over 200 international photographers, curators and industry professionals.

Next year’s festival launches on 16 March 2023 and runs until 9 April 2023, and we are looking for people who can offer support during the festival by invigilating at exhibition and event venues, engaging with the public, leading festival tours, supporting events and more.

FORMAT23 Festival is a great opportunity to engage with like-minded people, talk about photography, discover new artworks and artists, introduce visitors new to the world of photography and help make something amazing happen.

As a volunteer you can:

• Meet artists and industry professionals from across the world, spark up conversation and make your own networks
• Boost your confidence and experience talking to the general public
• Gain experience in a sector you might be thinking about working in
• Get involved with the local art scene of Derby and local areas
• Learn new skills and develop existing skills
