Observational Drawing
Thursday 17th September 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Our observational drawing course is great for both beginners and improvers, basically anyone who wants to spend time drawing. Lisa will lead you through different techniques each week to develop your skills and will be on hand to support all the time.
Crochet Course
Sunday 20th September 2.30pm – 4.30pm or
Wednesday 23rd September 10.30am – 12.30pm
You don’t even have to have touched a ball of yarn before to come on this course. Karen will take you through all the basic stitches step-by-step and as you gain confidence you will start to follow patterns too. So don’t worry about which bit goes where just come along and all will become clear. With cuppas and biscuits at hand for support along with your tutor, you are bound to succeed.
Getting Started with Acrylics
Thursday 17th September 1.30pm – 3.30pm
One of newer art courses that is fast becoming one of your favourites. Created for complete beginners our course will introduce using acrylic paints to create a landscape, an animal and a still life. Lisa will guide you through the process working from a range of source materials.
Dressmaking the Sequel
Tuesday 15th September 6.30pm – 9pm
Alison will lead you through making clothes that actually fit. With individualised support this course is the perfect way to build on your existing skills and knowledge, make friends and gain confidence in dressmaking. Its also a great creative escape once a week to relax and enjoy a cuppa.
Portraiture
Tuesday 15th September 10am – 12pm
You don’t need any experience to join this course just a desire to create and improve your portraiture skills. The first three sessions focus on knowledge and skill building before starting a portrait that you work on for the final two sessions, all under the guidance of the lovely Lisa.
Dressmaking the original
Friday 18th September 3pm or 6.30pm
Our dressmaking course is still a popular choice for beginners and repeat learners alike with out tutor Alison there to guide you every step of the way. Whether you are making clothes for yourself or someone else she will help you to adjust the patterns to fit. You could choose to make tops, dresses, skirts, trousers or anything that takes your fancy. We recommend matching the garment to your experience level and are more than happy to guide you in your pattern choice before the start date.
Beginners Sewing Machine Skills
Sunday 4th October 10am – 1pm
This beginners course will introduce to sewing using machines including threading up, hems, seams, cutting fabric and lots more. You will make a cushion cover, drawstring bag and tote bag over the three 3 hour long sessions. Giving you plenty of time to practise and ask all the questions you think of between sessions.
Spin me around – crochet blanket
Wednesday 7th October 6.30pm – 8.30pm
An old favourite this 3 week course will introduce you to crocheting in spirals to create this repeated pattern of trebles and chains. Not 1 but 3 balls of yarn is included in the cost of the course, what’s not to love!
