Ollersett
Ollersett are an instrumental folk trio with Sarah Davenport (Violin), Raddon Stephenson (Accordion) and Rory Carrington (Guitar), based in Glossop. Having met at their local folk session last year, Ollersett have performed at Holmfirth Folk Festival, Bollington Folk Club, the Strines Nightingale and in many other local venues.
Their sets are grounded in Celtic and Scandinavian folk styles, bringing fresh arrangements to traditional and contemporary tunes with a deep respect for their roots. Ollersett’s original music draws on a wider range of influences, weaving intricate melodies over tight rhythmic accompaniment in tunes which are strongly connected to seasonal changes in the Dark Peak landscape which surrounds them.
Tickets £12 available from Spring Bank Arts, Mon to Fri on 01663 308202, on the door and online.
