The Children’s Concert – Emotion, Emotion … on Saturday afternoon provides an opportunity for piano, cello and violin students (ranging in age from 6 to 15 years) to perform in the beautiful space of Spring Bank Arts on the specially hired grand piano. This year’s theme is exploring the world of emotion in music, and the children will be bringing a fun and varied range of pieces to express all kinds of feelings, from exuberance, and cheerfulness to melancholy and longing. Music says it all! The concert will not last more than an hour.
This is a free concert with donations welcome to cover costs. Refreshments will be served at the end. No tickets required.

‘Jazz from the Movies’ brings three of the UK’s most experienced jazz musicians to Spring Bank Arts. They will be showing original trailers from old movies, featuring music that has made it into the Jazz Real Book – the musicians will then perform their original response to the film music. This is a unique opportunity to bring together the world of film with live music. Do come, bring friends and jazz-lovers to hear these fabulous musicians.
