Together with Derby City Council, UKNA wish to discuss some of the key questions for new artists now and in the future: supporting and sustaining their practice and learning what we can do together and for each other. We will discuss what the city needs to offer and embrace to support its creative voices and the role Derby can play in amplifying creative talent across the East Midlands and beyond.

Artists Navigating the Present, Shaping the Future of Derby Symposium: PART TWO
Our second day of the ‘Artists Navigating the Present, Shaping the Future of Derby’ symposium offers an opportunity for new artists to interrogate the challenges facing them with peers and to find new ways to inspire, support and thrive. Join us for practical workshops, including Managing an Arts Practice led by Short Supply, with tips on funding and navigating uncertainty. Followed by Blank Space: Creative Consultation where local artists can share ideas on turning unused Derby spaces into creative hubs.
