Manchester Recorder Orchestra
Saturday 26th November 7:30pm
Join us this Saturday where massed recorders perform music written and adapted especially for recorder orchestra. To the delight of countless audiences, the orchestra has, since 1982, given regular public concerts around the Northwest of England, and further afield.
The Orchestra is currently conducted by Ian Chesters and David Walsh and its repertoire is made up of both original compositions and arrangements including symphonies as well as concertante items for many different instruments. The considerable number of arrangements range from Handel opera overtures to ballades of the 1960s.
