09.06.2022
1 – 8 pm
The day will commence at 1pm at Dronfield Hall Barn. Please have had a substantial lunch beforehand. Feel free to grab something to eat at The Barn, where you’ll be able to meet our instructors. We will commence the afternoon at Surprise View car park and make our way to Bole Hill Quarry, followed by a gentle and
short hill climb up to Millstone Edge. These locations offer millstone and sliver birch compositions as well as classic Peak District landscape views, out over Hathersage and the Hope Valley.
A camera with a full battery and a tripod are essential. If you have extra batteries and filters, please do bring them along too.

9 – 4 pm
At 9 am we will begin with a general conversation to get to know each other at the Barn. Before familiarising ourselves with the cameras and some basic camera skills.
Next we will take the short 30 minute drive parking by the side of the road ready to photograph the waterfalls woodlands and nature of Padley Gorge.
After lunch we will walk up to Surprise View Corner, stopping if we have time at Lawrence Field to look at the Silver birch trees. Then on to Millstone Edge which offers fantastic views overlooking Hathersage and the Peak District National Park.
Finally we will slowly make our way to the top of Owler Tor just before sunset. This will give you lots of time to put into practice all the teaching points of the day.
