GUIDED TOURS OF DERBY

Come on a guided tour and find out about the history of Derby. A Cathedral city in the centre of England, lying on the River Derwent, rich in  history, culture and diversity.  A story of Romans, Vikings and onto the 18th century Enlightenment, Derby became noted for fine ceramics, industry and engineering. A centre of the British railway industry, it is the home of  iconic Rolls Royce and the Toyota car assembly plant. Derby located at the start of the UNESCO Derwent Valley World Heritage site, hosts the world’s first factory, now the Museum of Making.

Meet: Outside Riverside Chambers, Full St, Derby DE1 3AF (across the road from Derby Market Place)

Car Parking: Assembly Rooms Car Park, Full Street, Derby DE1 3AF

Dates:  Last Saturday of the month.

Times: Depart 11.00am prompt.Tour of 1 hour 30 minutes.

Finish:  Derby Museum & Art Gallery, The Strand

Distance:  Two miles, accessible tour.

Fees:  £ 9.00; (concessions £7.00)

Group Tours:  £75 (maximum of 20 people)
