Experience the fantastical imagination of digital artist Ashley James Brown in this new collection of fun interactive experiences! ‘Is This Me?’ invites you into a familiar home-like setting, transporting you into a playful otherworld of the YOUniverse. Experience a new version of yourself in the digital mirror, create unique YOUmans and explore the YOUniverse, play our retro video game and have fun drawing your own fantastic creatures! What creative things will you do when you look in the mirror and ask yourself – Is This Me?

Inside Outside

Inside Outside is a contemporary visual art exhibition by our LEVEL Makes participants exploring the magic of nature that surrounds LEVEL Centre. Through rubbings, sketching, collage, painting, and pastel techniques, they produced a body of work focusing on trees, sky and clouds. LEVEL Makes invite you to engage with and enjoy our natural environment, both here in the exhibition, and once you leave!

The Severed Wing

Watch Corinne, a disabled artist who’s been confined to bed for six years, transform into a bird in their film The Severed Wing. The film explores Corinne’s limited mobility – their wings can only ‘fly’ depending on Corinne’s chronic pain level. A battle between the reality of Corinne’s health and their desire to fly. The Severed Wing was first developed and presented in May 2024 as part of The Lowry’s Scratch Nights programme, as a remote performance live streamed from the safety of Corinne’s bed.

Fun Palaces Open Day

Come and visit LEVEL Centre for our Fun Palaces event, running from 11am-3pm on Saturday 5 October! Throughout the day we’ve got loads of fantastic free activities for you to get stuck into, based around music, performance and creativity! Fun Palaces are all about joining in and bringing people together! Digital installation ‘Is This Me?’ will be open on the day too, so you can drop in and be transported into the fantastical otherworld of the YOUniverse!

GLISTEN Fest

GLISTEN Fest has been designed to ignite the senses, inspire creativity and create memories that can be shared with family, friends and carers. The Big Draw 2024 Open Day

The Big Draw Festival is a worldwide celebration of drawing for anyone who loves to draw, as well as those who think they can’t! On Saturday 26 October, we’ll be exploring this year’s theme ‘Drawing in Motion’, a celebration of the dynamic and ever-changing nature of drawing! Pop in with your friends and family from 11am-3pm to let your imagination loose and get involved with all our fun activities!
