The Sitwell Singers are delighted to announce that after an 18 month pandemic enforced break, their next event will take place on 18th September 2021.
The group will return with a ‘Come and Sing’ performance, focusing on a number of rich arrangements from Sullivan to the Swingles, helping to ease the members back into singing after their long absence.
The event will take place at the venue of the groups recent ‘Come and Sing’ – The Strutts Centre, Belper, from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm.
Please note that places will be strictly limited for this event so book now to avoid disappointment.

Luke Jones began playing the piano at the age of 5 and made his debut recital at Oriel Wrecsam aged 10. Since then he has performed all over Britain and Europe in venues such as Bridgewater Hall, Eaton Square, and Salle Cortot. He has also performed with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Manchester Camerata, Orchestra of the Swan and Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya.

This annual event combines rehearsal and performance in the beautiful rural setting of St George’s Church, Ticknall, hosted by Derby Bach Choir, alongside conductor James Foulds and organist Tom Corfield.
This event will take place on Saturday 25th September 2021, from 11am – 3:30pm.

A Celebration in Words and Music is presented by Beatus Choral from St. Michael & Angels Church, Hamstall on 26th September 2021 at 2.30pm.
The event includes talks about “Our Patron Saint – Who Was St. Michael?” by Dr. Trevor James and a concert by Beatus Choral Group.
Entry fee is £10 on the door, but reservations in advance are preferred. All funds collected are in aid of the Church.

Join Derby Concert Band live as they present a great selection of music at the Last Night of The Proms.
From melodies to tug at the heartstrings to toe-tapping pop classics all rounded off with the traditional Proms favourites including Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory – raise the roof and wave your flags!
Last Night of The Proms is presented by Derby Concert Band, hosted at Derby Market Place on 17th October 2021 at 5pm.
Tickets range from £10-£12 and can be purchase from the Derby Live website today.
Sophie Rosa and Miloš Milivojević join forces for this unmissable evening of music for accordion and violin duo: an exploration of Viennese Waltz, Argentine Tango, folk dances, virtuoso pyrotechnics and much more!

Richard Jenkinson has played many complete cycles of the Bach solo cello suites, including at St James’ Piccadilly and St. John’s Smith Square in London and also in venues in Bridgend, Cardiff, Fishguard, Shropshire and Worcester.
Conducting is featuring ever more in Richard’s career. He is Musical Director of the British Police Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of St John, Bromsgrove.

Trio Volant was formed in 2010 whilst all the members were studying at the Royal Northern College of Music.
They are recent winners of the Dorothy Parkinson Award 2017 for young outstanding British chamber musicians as well as being Selected and Recommended Artists for Making Music for 2018-2019.
