On Friday 11 November, we’ll be exploring the topic of Cultural policy – what next?

With the current backdrop of political and economic uncertainty, this session has taken on added relevance and we’re keen to hear from as many voices as possible who have an interest in cultural policy at the event.

Here are the key details:

  • The first online event of the new series will be 10am – 11.30am on Friday 11 November – so there’s still time for you to get your ticket.
  • The panel includes Carol Leeming, John McMahon and Caroline McCormick. You can read more about the panel and topic here.
  • Together, and in breakout rooms, we’ll discuss how the orchestral sector can work with the wider cultural community to influence policy at the highest level.
  • The event is free, to make it accessible to as wide a group of people as possible – and you can book tickets here.

Blue Peter Book Badge Initiative Launched for October Half-Term with Shared Reading and Derby Libraries

Derby Book Festival’s Shared Reading Project and Derby City Libraries have announced a new initiative for October half-term. Children aged 5-7 can join a free reading session where Shared Reading volunteers will be on hand to help them apply for their very own Blue Peter Book Badge.
