Ed Byrne remains the observational stand up to see and his live work is not to be missed.

Paul McCaffrey

He has performed four critically acclaimed Edinburgh shows as well as major music festivals: Reading, Leeds, V Festival, Bestival and Latitude. An accomplished radio presenter and guest, Paul has recently been heard on: talkSPORT, Absolute’s The Alternative Vote and Rock n Roll Football with Rob Beckett and Russell Kane’s Whistle-Stop Tour on BBC Radio Two. He also presents The Paul McCaffery Show every Saturday morning on Jack FM.

Tom Taylor

Tom Taylor is rather a peculiar looking being. Instantly laughable. Annoyingly clever jokes and some rather silly ones. ‘Immediately very funny, the best jumper in comedy and really really well-written jokes’ Isy Suttie.

Susie McCabe’s

Susie McCabe’s rise through the ranks of standup has been nothing short of meteoric. Her brilliant storytelling, acute observations and killer punchlines have made her one of the most sought after performers in the UK. She has supported the likes of Ardal O’Hanlon, John Bishop and Stewart Francis on their national tours. Susie is also a film festival favourite. With four sell-out shows at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, she continues to be the fastest-selling artist at the festival. She also returned to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019 with her much-anticipated show Domestic Disaster, which received a bunch of great reviews and was a total sell-out.  You may have also seen Susie on last week’s edition of Have I Got News For You.

Saturday 14th May

David O’Doherty

David O’Doherty is an award-winning comedian, author and musician.
David first stepped on stage at Dublin’s Comedy Cellar in 1998. In 1999 he won So You Think You’re Funny an award for new comedians and was runner-up in the BBC New Comedy Awards. David regularly takes his Fringe hits on the road and played his latest tour show, YOU HAVE TO LAUGH, to packed houses across the UK and Ireland. David has also performed stand-up around the world at festivals in Melbourne, Montreal, New York, Prague, Adelaide, Iceland and Wellington.

Hal Cruttenden

Hal Cruttenden is one of the top stand-up comedians working in the UK today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer and actor. Julian Deane

Julian Deane is a proper gagsmith. No fat on his routines. Great writer, cool delivery! “the man is definitely a pro, with plenty of lines that our top stand-ups would be proud of..the man clearly has a career in comedy cut out for him.” – (Chortle)

Lou Conran

Lou Conran is a comedian, writer, performer, and superlative storyteller. “Proving you can make a stand-up show about literally anything if the performer is skilled enough.” The Scotsman

Sunday 15th May

Johnny Vegas

Johnny Vegas is known for his angry rants, surrealism, high husky voice and support of St Helens rugby league club, Johnny is a multi-award-winning actor, director, producer and entertainer. He has spent some time away from clubs pursuing his love of acting, directing and writing, with credits including directing two dramas for BBC1’s Moving On series and the video for Billy Bragg’s Handyman Blues single. He also produced and directed Sky One drama Ragged, written by Andrew Lynch and starring Ricky Tomlinson and Stephen Walters. Recent TV credits include Still Open All Hours, Murder On, Home From Home, Benidorm, Moone Boy – the BBC’s Mr Stink. He has done numerous appearances on QI, Cats Does Countdown, The Last Leg and Celebrity Juice. Also appeared in the recent British Films Eaten By Lions and Tales From The Lodge.

The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue

The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue is lightning-fast choreography that meets uber swift editing in a fantasmagorical collision of quality entertainment. An overload of velvet, sandals and multi-hued wool provides a startling accompaniment, the whole effect being that of a slim man and a fat man putting their bums in your face. Headlining at venues from the Falklands to Ashby De La Zouch, they’ve circumnavigated the planet, spurting amusement in concentrated twenty-minute bursts but now an hour show is gestating, due to arrive bloody and screaming at some point, if not slightly before. If you like music and let’s face it, who doesn’t, you’ll like it. If you like silliness, middle-aged men dancing and unsavoury acts, you’ll probably love it.

Scott Bennet

Scott Bennett after starting out in comedy 11 years ago, Scott Bennett has firmly established himself as one of the biggest rising stars on the UK comedy circuit. Scott delivers great observations on the absurdity of modern living. His sharply written routines have been delighting audiences across the country. His first Edinburgh show ‘About a Roy’ was nominated for the prestigious Amused Moose Comedy Award and was also one of the top 10 shows at the Fringe that year. Bennett was recently chosen to support TV comedian Michael McIntyre for his work in progress show in London and most recently has supported his comedy hero Rob Brydon on his 2017/18 tour.

Nina Gilligan

Nina Gilligan is sometimes outrageous, always hilarious, observational and Storytelling comedy for all. A persona you will fall in love with. Equally, at home in clubs as art centres, 2021 saw her crowned as the WINNER of the prestigious Leicester Mercury Award.
