Chesterfield Co-operative Choral Society Christmas Concert

Spital Arts are proud and excited to welcome the Chesterfield Co-operative Choral Society for our Annual Christmas Concert on Friday December 8th.

The Co-operative Choral Society will be treating us to a selection of heart-warming winter favourites from 7:30pm ❄️
The Co-op Choir celebrated it’s 85th year in 2022 and under the Musical Direction of Adam Green have performed many and varied concerts over the years, most notably the recent wonderful Handel’s Messiah.
Accompanist George Parsons is himself a Spital Resident and earlier this year his St.James’ Trio played to a packed audience at St.Leonard’s Church in Spital.
The Choir was originally formed in 1937 as the Chesterfield Labour Choir and after an offer from the Chesterfield Co-op Education Committee became the Chesterfield Co-operative MIxed Voice Choir. In 1969 the Choir performed at the 75th anniversary of the Chesterfield Co-operative Society.
The Choral Society are currently supported by Central Co-operative who have enabled the Choir to expand and develop their repertoire.
Do come and join us for what is always a wonderfully magical evening with the ususal sublime Spital Arts cakes and of course the best Co-op Mince Pies!
Tickets £10 per person, available on the door via cash / card payments and at spitalarts@gmail.com / 01246 220741. Doors at 7:00pm – St Leonards Mission Church, Spital, Chesterfield.
