Charlie Moritz & Friends
Saturday 11th July 7:30pm
Singer-songwriter Charlie Moritz is a popular performer on stages all around the Peak District and Greater Manchester and is delighted to be bringing a selection of his music to the beautiful setting of Spring Bank Arts Centre. His recently released third album ‘Seeking Connection’ is being warmly received and has already had tracks played from it on Tim Walker’s Folk on BBC Radio Lincolnshire and also on Pure Beat Radio.
A talented finger style guitarist and one of the musicians chosen to attend National Centre for Folk Arts Halsway Manor’s sought after Open House week in 2024, Charlie will be ably supported by excellent pianist Stuart Bootle and highly skilled Chapman Stick player Tim Walsham.
Charlie’s folk influenced set ranges far and wide in subject matter and tone; be that touchingly poignant and personal, politically charged or satirical, through to simply playful and comedic . Lyrically inventive and adept, melodically appealing, with some new songs and also one or two well chosen covers in the mix, this promises to be a truly engaging, tuneful evening from an assured and versatile artist.
