We are excited to share all the upcoming news in May, Artcore is getting ready to open up the Gallery and host events, exhibitions and artists’ residencies.

Our next residency in partnership with NMG welcomes artists Matt Woodham & Benjamin Shirley-Quirk whose work is highly digital, technological and mesmerising.

Don’t miss exciting opportunities at Artcore including Open Calls, joining YAC Collective and seeing all the extensive events we got planned for the Gallery!

Derby Book Festival is coming to Artcore with special author guest Amo Raju! Book your place for the event.

Future Endeavours

Reimagine 

Creative individuals aged 9+ are invited to join our Colour The City workshops as part of Reimagine Derby! Our energising Keep Walking classes are back on! An easy and exciting class led by lovely Shailesh & Sunita who are encouraging us all to get more steps in!

Create My World: Nature… an interactive world of wonder!

LEVEL are excited to announce their new interactive exhibition, Create My World: Nature by TECHSQUAD, running from 18 April until 27 June 2024! Create My World: Nature is an interactive exhibition experience for all ages, focused on nature, world-building and exploration. It’s an exciting world of wonder where you can explore your creativity and make your own digital creations come alive! Over the duration of the exhibition, a new virtual world will be created, populated with living creatures and plant life made from artworks generated by visitors.

Derby’s vibrant St George’s Day celebrations draw enthusiastic crowds

The legend of St George was brought to life on the streets of Derby at the weekend. Hundreds of people enjoyed the free St George’s Day celebrations held in the city centre. The event on Saturday 20 April featured a feast of entertainment at the Waterfall in Derby Market Place, with performances and activities for all the family.
