With over seven years’ experience as book sellers, Book Folk are delighted to be able to bring together seasoned book dealers from all across the North West of England, who gather once a month for Buxton’s Book Fair.
From inexpensive paperbacks to rare and antiquarian volumes, Book Folk’s book fairs cater to all tastes, including pulp sci-fi, horror, fantasy & crime, graphic novels & comics, rare & antiquarian volumes, signed & first editions, children’s & young adult, ephemera & bookmarks. All subjects covered from ornithology & nature to military, local interest & history. Book Folk also occasionally host local authors, who will be delighted to sign your books.
To help grow the book fairs, they are always on the lookout for more traders ; Whether you are a professional dealer or a seller looking to part with your book collection, you will be given a warm welcome.
The venue: St. Anne’s Parish Centre is located at Hardwick Square West, Buxton SK17 6PX. You can find it behind St. Anne’s R.C. Church on Terrace Road next door to the Green Man Gallery and Buxton Museum. We provide full disabled access and toilets, and free parking.
To keep costs as low as possible for traders, Book Folk ask for just £20 per space with a 6ft table included, plus an additional £10 for each additional table.
Book Folk do have a donation bucket with a suggested donation of £1 per adult, however to remain inclusive; this is kept voluntary.
