Musical Highlights of BIF 2022

BIF and Buxton Opera House are delighted to announce the programme for our second Strictly Musical extravaganza!

Join us for all your favourite show tunes, including classics from The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Cabaret, Oliver, Annie, Into the Woods and more.

Performed by stars of the Gypsy cast and the BIF Company, and directed by Paul Kerryson, proceeds from the gala concert will go towards supporting the future work of BIF and the Buxton Opera House.

Hear the versatility of the harp across a trio of pieces, including a newly commissioned work, with Chroma Harp Duo. Rising star Ryan Corbett brings works ranging from mainstream classical to virtuoso accordion to BIF, while the Brodsky Quartet will be marking their 50th anniversary in Buxton this summer.

Eleanor Corr and Emil Duncomb will bring music from Vaughn Williams, Edvard Grieg and Leoš Janáček to the beautiful setting of St. John’s Church, and Colour My Song will feature the winners of the inaugural Williams-Howard Prize, an RNCM competition promoting the study and performance of music by composers of African heritage, bringing new audiences to often-neglected songs.
