Deaf-initely Women is hosting a FREE Introduction to Becoming a Freelance Artist on:

Date: 12 September

Time: 10:30am to 12:00 noon

Venue: Room 16, Strutts Community Centre, Belper, DE56 1UU

During this introductory session, participants will learn more about becoming self-employed within the arts and creative sector. Those interested will also be offered the opportunity to apply for a place on our FREE face-to-face 7-day training course.

The course will help participants to:

  • Learn how to establish a career in the arts
  • Explore opportunities within the creative industries
  • Earn money from their artistic skills
  • Learn how to design and deliver creative workshops
  • Receive FREE one-to-one mentoring

The course is available to deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing women living in the following areas:

Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire Moorlands, East Staffordshire, North Lincolnshire, West Lindsey, Lincoln City, North Kesteven and South Kesteven.

BSL interpreters and captions will be provided throughout the project.

Please note that places on the 7-day course are limited, with only 10 places available.
