Calling all potential Book Festival Interns!

We are looking for a special person (currently studying or just about to finish higher education) who is passionate about books and wishes to learn all the skills that make BIF’s Book Festival one of the UKs most anticipated annual literary line-ups. Working alongside Vicky Dawson, our Book Festival Director, between late June and the end of the Festival, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to:

  • Meet all of our fantastic speakers, help arrange their accommodation and travel, and alongside Vicky, act as engaging host.
  • Work within the heart of our amazing Festival team, learning how each staff member, with their very different skillsets, work tirelessly together to deliver an exceptional Festival experience.
  • Experience the technical on-stage challenges that the audience do not see but which can be used as excellent examples of “working under pressure” at subsequent job interviews!
  • Gain the authentic literary experience that has led our previous book festival interns to careers in publishing and at Jaipur Book Festival in India!

If you are a young person that could benefit from this incredible but often exhausting experience, please contact vicky@buxtonfestival.co.uk with your CV.

Accommodation can be provided.
